Drawing is an extremely important part of my creative process. Working in sketchbooks and on paper is the way I explore my ideas. It is through this process that I ultimately find focus and direction. Much of my inspiration comes from books, poetry and photographs.
I am a storyteller who tells tales in pictures.
My subject matter is almost always the female figure. The colour choices for my work is dictated by my own feelings, using colour to reveal the emotional context of the painting. My work invites the viewer to explore the psychological, physical and emotional relationships of the women I depict.
